Information for Merchants
There are lot of shopping search engines in Australia, but there is only one which caters for every small computer shop in Australia. We are offering all legally registered computer businesses a chance to list on newshop.com.au . That is no set up fee. No monthly fee. There is no CPC ( Charge Per Click) on any of our plans. You pay the monthly fee as per plan you have chosen. There is no worry of artificially inflated number of clicks.
Other important thing is most customers would be happy to go to a local shop, even if price is bit expensive. So we have the perfect answer where they can search by post code, and you can nominate which post code or post codes you want to be listed. (Note: Post code search facility will be implemented once we have sufficient number of shops listed )
If you agree to list here, you also agree to accept fair criticism from customers as well.
Levels of listing
There will be 4 levels of listing
- Basic FREE listing. This will include listing up to 200 products of your choice. Suitable for small shops. Select the items where you are most competitive.
- State wide listing. List up to 500 products of your choice. Monthly fee of $19 and no set up fee. Suit medium size retailers with online presence
- Australia wide listing. List up to 1000 products of your choice searchable under 10 post codes of your choice and searchable under any state name (i.e Australia wide) . Monthly fee of $59 and no set up fee. Suit mid to high size retailers with online presence
- Ultimate listing. List up to 5000 products of your choice searchable under 10 post codes of your choice and searchable under any state name (i.e Australia wide) . Monthly fee of $199 and no set up fee. Suit high volume retailers with online presence
Contributions from Merchants
- We accept contributions from merchants in the way of providing content. That is, provide links to product information, product reviews, product information updates and provide detail pages for items and so on. We plan to introduce a point scheme so that those members who provide the information can exchange the points for listing fee.
Notes :
- For Merchants with multiple locations, the free listing offer is applicable for only one location. Any other location they want to include has to be a paid listing.
- Free listings are not offered to companies with more than $1 million turn-over, with more than 10 staff or more than 3 shop locations.
- Final decision on the above matters will be made by newshop management .
- Search by postcode and state will be introduced once we have enough merchants. Until that time all merchants will be listed under the search for a particular product
